Hi! We’re Jake and Ryan. Here’s a little bit about us so that we don’t feel like complete strangers to you. Ryan and I grew up in Nashua, NH and have lived here our entire lives. From the age of 12 we have been best friends. We’ve both always been influenced by each other (sometimes not in the best ways) and shared similar interests. During high school we both took on an interest in cars, not necessarily JDM, but cars that were modified. We even both ended up getting the same exact project cars after we graduated and I must admit, Ryan’s was better. You see, we had project cars, and we liked the idea of working on them, but we were both horrible at doing so. Neither of us were very mechanically savvy, we definitely knew how to turn a wrench and do an oil change, but forget the other stuff. If you wanted your brakes done you’re better off getting overcharged down the street than have us try to figure it out. Fast forward to the beginning of 2024, Ryan is stationed in Okinawa, Japan for the Marine Corps sending me videos of cars we have always dreamed of owning RX7s, MR2’s, Skylines, etc. So I have the bright idea of saying “Hey, we should try and import one of those” without any idea of knowing anything. We didn’t know the cost, the company to buy the car from, how to get a customs broker, who could transport the car when the boat got here, nothing. We pondered on the idea a bit, but ultimately decided that it would have to be something that happens later that year. Again, fast forward, literally 2 days later, I get a phone call from Ryan saying
“Hey man you know what screw that lets just do it”
“Ryan we don’t really have the money or knowledge to do that right now”
“I don’t care let’s do it”
“Ok!”
And that was the beginning of a very rocky and rough road with many errors and unknowns, but we did it. We had imported our first truck, and then the next, and the next, and each time we got more efficient and knowledgable. Now it’s our turn to do it for you. Ryan and I do the heavy lifting now and what use to be a dreadful thing to us is now something we LOVE and get EXCITED to do. So that’s really it, let us help you import so that you don’t have to go through the heavy lifting we have already done.
